Concept Laser

CONCEPT LASER GMBH is located in Lichtenfels , Germany, and since its founding in 2000, it has been regarded as a pioneer in the field of additive manufacturing with metals. With the LaserCUSING® process, the company is involved in many sectors of industry. The term LaserCUSING®, made up of the letter C from Concept Laser and the word fusing (complete melting), describes the technology used - the fusion process generates components layer by layer using 3D CAD data. This technology allows the fabrication of both mold inserts with conformal cooling and direct components for the jewelry, medical, dental, automotive and aerospace sectors.

The metal laser melting machines from Concept Laser process powder materials from high-grade tool steels, reactive aluminum or titanium alloys, nickel-based superalloys, cobalt-chromium alloys as well as precious metals like gold and silver. Standard machines and customer-specific machine concepts for the LaserCUSING® of metals are offered. Full service as an option at Concept Laser means that customers can purchase machines for their own independent LaserCUSING® application or access services and development expertise (prototypes and small batches) directly. Stratasys

STRATASYS manufactures 3D printers and materials that create prototypes and manufactured goods directly from 3D CAD files or other 3D content. The company’s 3D printers are based on patented FDM® and PolyJet® inkjet-based technologies.

Stratasys systems are used by manufacturers to create models and prototypes to aid in the new product design process. And they are becoming widely used for production of finished goods in low-volume manufacturing. Systems range from affordable desktop 3D printers to large production systems for direct digital manufacturing.

The FDM process creates parts by extruding molten thermoplastic in fine layers to build the part layer by layer. The PolyJet process also creates parts by building in layers but employs an ink jet style jetting process to apply photopolymers in fine layers and simultaneously cures them with ultraviolet light.

Stratasys also manufacturers Solidscape 3D Printers and operates the RedEye On Demand digital manufacturing service. In 2013, Stratasys acquired MakerBot, the leading manufacturer of desktop 3D printers. Stratasys has over 1,600 employees and holds over 500 granted or pending additive manufacturing patents globally. The company’s range of 3D printing materials is the widest in the industry and includes over 100 proprietary inkjet-based photopolymer materials and 10 proprietary FDM-based thermoplastic materials.

Through its network of certified, value added resellers and distributors, Stratasys delivers responsive, regional support around the globe. The company maintains dual headquarters in Minneapolis, Minn. and Rehovot, Israel. Stratasys is a public company that trades on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the symbol SSYS. The larger Aristo-Cast facility (25,000 sq. ft.) contains the latest investment casting technology, such as in-house 3D scanning for part validation and reverse engineering and the most advanced ceramic shell building technology — two examples of what sets us head and shoulders above the competition. Add this to our team’s over 300 years of combined experience, and you've got a combination that can't be beat. The 12,000 sq. ft. facility, Advanced Technology Center (ATC), is home to:

  1. The most up to date pattern printing systems, such as (1) Stratasys Dimension SST ABS, (5) 3D Systems Thermojet wax printers, (1) 3D Systems ProJet 3500 wax printer and a voxeljet 500 PPMA.
  2. A completely equipped tool shop utilizing the latest CAD systems and Haas CNC machining centers. This allows us to build wax injection tools to our extremely high standards or do precise machining operations on prototype castings.
  3. The only MAGNESIUM investment casting operation in the U.S. with the ability to support both prototype and limited production requirements.

Having this equipment in house and not relying on an outside service bureaus’ performance for creating patterns, along with the G2 shell system that we pioneered, gives us the ability to deliver castings in as little as 48 hours after receipt of a useable solid model file. If you'd like to take advantage of all these factors plus dealing with an ISO-9001-2008/TS16949 and ITAR certified company, go to www.aristo-cast.com.
